White fillings

Tooth coloured fillings have become the treatment of choice. At Greenhills Dental Practice, we only use the best materials available to restore your smile. White fillings are strong, long-lasting and they look amazing. We offer either white or silver fillings for any filling and additionally offer replacement of traditional silver fillings on back teeth from just £60.

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is a cosmetic procedure to improve your smile, maybe to close gaps between the teeth or change the colour, shape or size of your smile.

Full mouth examination and consultation is required for each individual case before any treatment plan and costs can be discussed

Dental crowns

Crowns have been widely used in dentistry for decades. A crown is a laboratory made restoration commonly referred to as a cap that fits over a broken down tooth – mostly teeth that have been heavily filled or have had root canal treatment in the past.

Crowns on back teeth range from standard silver crowns for around £100 to metal covered white crowns from £250. Your dentist will discuss the different types of white crowns available – either porcelain bonded to metal or all ceramic (i.e) completely metal free.

Veneers

Veneers are similar to crowns but instead of covering the whole tooth they bond directly to the front of a tooth. They can be used to improve the shape, size and colour of front teeth. Cosmetic veneers start from £350 per tooth.

Tooth whitening

Tooth whitening is a simple treatment that aims to bring the brightness back to your smile. As dentists you can be assured we use a material that is safe for your teeth. Results are quick after a few days of use patients report an improvement in colour and as our material has a de-sensitising agent, issues with sensitivity are minimal. The cost is £249 for upper and lower bleaching trays and 4 syringes of whitening gel.

Daytime and night time whitening kits are available to suit your needs.

Dental implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason.

Loose dentures? Dental implants can be a solution to secure dentures, or to get rid of dentures completely !

Facial aesthetics

At the practice we are able to offer treatment for facial aesthetics. Having a detailed knowledge of facial anatomy provides an excellent basis when planning facial aesthetic treatment.

Whether you are looking at softening lines or reducing the signs of ageing we can provide various treatments.

We can provide a consultation for treatments that soften lines and reduce wrinkles. This can be used in many areas around the face for various applications. Most frequently it is used to soften lines that are present in the forehead, "frown lines" on the brow and also "crow's feet" around the eyes. This treatment generally lasts between 3-6 months. We can discuss with you the treatment options available and what could benefit you.

NHS treatment

Greenhills Dental Practice are proud to be an NHS committed practice and provide all forms of NHS dental treatment.

We believe in being completely transparent about the treatments we offer and their costs. Whether you are having NHS treatment or are having more complex private treatments, we will always explain your treatment options and the costs involved, prior to treatment commencing. Where there are a range of treatment options available to you, we will explain the benefits of each, allowing you to have all the information you need before deciding which suits you best.

Treatment costs

NHS treatment is free for:

☑ Everyone under 26 years of age

☑ Pregnant and nursing mothers, until the baby is 12 months old

☑ Those with certificated exemption from payment because of income.

Not all dental treatments are available under NHS regulations.

Unless you are in one of the groups entitled to free NHS dental treatment or help with the cost, you will need to pay for your NHS dental treatment up to a maximum patient contribution of £384 per single course of treatment.

Emergency treatment

We offer all registered patients an appointment within 24 hours for emergency treatment, however we will always

endeavor to see you as soon as possible. Unregistered patients may be seen if the time is available.

If you feel an emergency appointment is required, please phone us as early as possible on 01355 576074

so that we can arrange an appointment with you. If you phone us at 8.30am, we try to offer an appointment that day.

We will do our best to try to make this at a time convenient to you. This may not always be possible, so please try your best

to be flexible. If you are unable to attend at the available time on the day we shall try and accommodate you as soon as possible.

This is available from 6pm on weekdays and at any time on weekends and public holidays.
